Artist Statement

My painting explores relationships between structure and nature, which I relay
through the use of light and architectural elements in a limited palette to create
enigmatic environments. Drawing inspiration from energy, pattern, and light I
strive for purity within my work.

In my most recent paintings the seriousness of my exploration has been further
developed, focusing on the interactions between light, luminescent objects, and
structure. I aim to fully immerse the viewer within my environments while altering
the perception of dimensional space.

Aesthetic and process define my practice. Painted entirely free-hand, I constantly
challenge personal boundaries as I strive for perfection and purity in my execution.
